Excellent group for our hike at West Palisades Friday morning.  It was a great opportunity to get out for a nice walk in the woods after our recent snow.  We visited various parts of West Palisades park including a brand new trail down to the river.  At the end of our hike, we visited the ruins of the Akers Mill that operated on the banks of Rottenwood creek in the 1800's. 

During our hike we accomplished over 850 feet of gain for a great workout.  We completed our 4.8 mile hike in a little over 2 hours.  What a great way to spend a Friday morning.
