We had a blast celebrating this big bash with AOC Trip Leader Jerry Kelley - his 200th outing with our fine Club - and we all appreciated his posting it again this year as an AOC "participation event."  It was preceded by two AOC hikes that Jerry had completed earlier today despite the grey overcast skies and drizzle. We're also indebted to CRNRA Park Naturalist Jerry Hightower and his friends for hosting this annual "Wolf Moon Winter Gathering" for about the 40th time since the Chattahoochee Nat'l Rec Area was founded in the 1970s. The food and refreshments were delicious and plentiful and it was a great opportunity to rub shoulders with other outdoor enthusiasts from the Nat'l Park Service, Friends of the Chattahoochee River, Park Volunteer Groups, the AJC Editorial Staff and the public at large.

Special thanks to our past AOC President Joyce Taaffe for her part in today's festivities including sharing colorful photos taken both at the Gathering and during our ~5-mile "pre-hike" from the Ed Center to historic Jones Bridge and back.
