What a beautiful day for a stroll along the Chattahoochee and though parts of Hyde Farm and an opportunity to learn a little history about the former home and farm of the Power's family who operated Powers Ferry in the 1800s. 

We got a little more elevation in than planned when trail conditions and some construction required us to change up the itinerary a little bit but that only allowed us to see some sections of Hyde Farm that some on the hike had not experienced.  One of the changes we made on the fly was to add a hike down to Morgan Falls Dam which was new to many on todays hike.  I think the visit to "Nowhere" and the long walk along Mulberry Creek were highlights.  

All in all, our 5.5 mile hike included 550 feet of gain so a good workout while seeing a little history along the way.
