Great weather for our hike today although some of us were cursing the higher than normal temps as we crested several steep hills.  We explored West Palisades from one end to the other including the brand new trail down to the river from the newly (but not yet open) parking lot.  We finished our hike with a detour down to the banks of Rottenwood creek where we viewed the ruins of the old Akers Mill that operated in the late 1800's.  A special welcome to Bonnie who was on only her second AOC event.
