We had a cool, beautiful morning, perhaps the last before the heat of late spring/summer hits. Trena guided us to the ruins across the river, probably the last chance to see the structures before the poison ivy grows too prolifically to safely hike there. Then, we hiked a loop around the perimeter of the Sope Creek section of the park before finishing at the parking lot two hours later. The pace was great, the trails were dry, and the lush scenery was beautiful.

A special treat - - Bunnie recovered enough from her bout with Guillain-Barré to complete the hike without difficulty. She's one remarkable woman. ~ Joyce
