Slowing down the pace today made for a truly enjoyable hike, with several stops at the "special" places - - the bamboo forest, the rock overlook, the deck, the cave, and finally, the dog beach, which had a large number of frolicksome dogs enjoying the water on this warm day.

Thanks to Norm for watching the back of the group for me throughout the hike, though we didn't have any stragglers today. The group stayed together with no one pushing the pace, and friendly banter could be heard from the first to the last.  

We had a canine friend on this hike - - Sawyer - - who was a very well-behaved participant. ~Joyce
