Well we had 14 hardy souls for todays hike at West Palisades.  It was overcast but we were able to dodge the rain during our hike.  We took a new trail down to the river and also did a little off trail exploration on the South side of the park up to a little know or visited ridge overlooking the river.  When we got down to the river level we encountered about 40 river search and rescue personnel from some of the surrounding counties doing training in the Chattahoocheen River this morning.  We finished our 5 mile hike with about 800 feet of elevation in 2 hours.  ~ Holt
