We had a nice hike this morning at Johnson Ferry...the temps were still in the high 70s with low humidity when we started and didn't get that much worse.  We first explored the trails near the river and then headed north.   It was a straight, flat hike from here but a pretty day and a good group of fun people made it enjoyable nonetheless.   We stopped to check out Morgan Falls dam and the ducks swimming around (see pics) and then headed back south, with a little detour over a picturesque creek and our one water crossing for the day (not counting walking across the pipes).    We ended up doing about 2 hrs/4.7 miles....not enough to wear us out but a great way to start independence day.
