Wow the water was crazy high on the Chattahoochee this morning from all the recent rains.  The water had completely covered parts of the trail out to the bamboo forest which caused us to have to turn back.  We did all successfully climb the BAH and rewarded ourselves with a break to take in the views at the observation deck. 

We next headed out to the dog beach which was not really a beach at all.  The normal beach area was under about 3 feet of water.  We took a different route back to the cars that took us by the cliffs and then on the final climb of the day up to the road and then back to the parking lot.  We finished our 4.5 mile hike and about 700 feet of elevation gain in 2 hours. ~ Holt
