Beautiful day today - it was definitely on the hot side but the sky was gorgeous and the hikers were...  well, our family!!  We did have one newbie, David H. but he fit in right away.  It's always nice to have this hike were regardless of the weather, we all toil along and chatter about our families and activities. We started off going along the pond where some maintenace work was required prior to us continuing. We did our "lovely" warm up hill with Mike S. leading the pack today.  And than we just wandered along making sure we stopped to stay hydrated.  We did end up going about 5.5 miles today - even with the heat!  See everyone next week:)  ~  Carol
