A hot humid start to our hike today but everyone survived.  There were several on the hike today who had never hiked the Central portion of Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park so it was "new" territory for them.  Our first challenge was to find a parking place as the lot was filled with either early hikers or being used by a military unit who was doing military history training on Pigeon Hill this morning.  We passed a few horses (and riders) along the way who we also enjoying the day outdoors on the trails.  We finished our 5 mile hike with 800 feet of elevation gain in two hours.  ~ Holt
