We had a great group of 15 for our hike of the Homestead Trail at Red Top Mountain State Park.  We hiked first out the White Tail trail and briefly stopped to enjoy an amazing view from the point.  Next we tackled the Homestead trail loop and finished with a bit of the yellow trail before reaching our cars and the end of our hot and humid trek.  We ended up covering 5 miles and about 500 feet of elevation gain.  We had three relatively new members of the AOC on our hike today.  Amanda was on her 5th event, Liz was on her second and Travis was on his very first AOC event.  Welcome to each and every one of you and look forward to seeing you on future AOC events.  ~ Holt
