A great little hike at one of our favorite CNRA units, accessed from the elementary school parking lot. We began our hike through the privet tunnel which always provides an eerie entrance to the main trail.  

We hiked to the bathrooms at Cochran Shoals/Colums Drive and then took the biking trail back to the Sope Creek section.  

We were happy to meet a new member today, Teresa, who adopted Romeo in April and brought him along. Joel, a dog lover, took Romeo's leash and handled him throughout the hike. Romeo loved the attention!

We met Eric Ward, Holt Ward's son, as he was walking through the Sibley Forest subdivision at the end of our hike. What a handsome, friendly guy he is. He was kind enough to pose for a picture, hopefully the first of many, as he is one of our newest AOC members. ~ Joyce
