An interesting hike this morning as we enjoyed the temporary lower humidity as we moved around the Kolb loop.  We learned a little about the 1864 battle of Kennesaw Mountain focusing on the activity on Cheatham Hill.  We probably saw 25-30 deer along the way, by far the most I have seen at Kennesaw on a hike. 

We ended up doing a bonus mile for a total of 6.5 miles in a pretty quick 2:20 hours.  Great job by everyone on the hike keeping together.  A special welcome to two relatively new AOC members on the hike today.  Amanda was on her 4th AOC event and Jo was on her very first.  Welcome to both of you and look forward to seeing you on future AOC events.  ~ Holt
