The rain was subsiding as we gathered near the Visitor's Center. Soon we couldn't really tell if it was still raining, or just dripping from the trees. The overnight downpours had cleansed the park so that the bright green moss really popped; however the rain's aftermath also made for slippery leaves and mud. We saw deer, squirrels, geese, woodpeckers, and other birds. A few other humans and their canine companions. Surprisingly, the lollipop trail was not flooded. 

We concluded our event with a brief guided meditation just a bit off the beaten path. Fire. Earth. Air. Water. They connect us to the natural world, and to one another. Let's continue to #optoutside and stay connected.
