The Joyce Bubble prevailed and we got a great hike in!  Lots of our regulars have returned and numerous others are still on their Fall vacations so this did allow us to gain a "newbie."  We would like to officially welcome John to the AOC.  This was his first hike and he did great!  We took our warmup hill and for once, Susan did not make it to the top first.  Young Jeff decided that it was his turn and he took off jogging!  Needless to say, he was the first one up.  Our hike itself was relatively uneventfull.  I think the packed wet leaves on the trail prevented the trail from being all that slipperly.  The clouds moved out and the sun came out.  The humidity remained high but after the last several weeks, this hike felt great!  Good luck to David P;  he is set for a total knee replacement in a couple of weeks.  Will see everyone same time, same place next week:) ~ Carol
