Write Up:

It was the best of hikes, it was the worst of hikes (well - not the worst-est).  The water was flowing in Holly Creek (requiring water shoes) and it continued that way until Emery Falls, after that, it could be done mostly with boots.  Some hikers removed their boots prematurely, but I am sure they will dry out eventually.  The skies were beautiful.  The water was flowing in us and around us.  A few folks ran out of water, but Ralph provided the assist.  And most of the hikers experienced bee stings (Ann and Laura were the lone survivors).  Nonetheless, the scenery was spectacular (5ish waterfalls), and a variety of plant life.  The climb is brutal, but everyone did very well.  14.1 miles and elevation gain of approximately 3400 feet.  With the downed trees and boulder/rock/water crossings this was a full body workout.
