Another beautiful day for our hike at East Palisades.  We had 20 hearty hikers for todays hike which hit most of the corners of the park.  We made it out to the bamboo forest and then climbed to the observation deck.  To some's disappointment, we didn't do the BAH today but took the longer trail up to the summit.  We descended down to the river and next we visited the cliffs below the parking lot.  After our third (and last) climb of the day we reached the park road and shortly thereafter, the parking lot.  We logged 5.2 miles and about 780 feet of elevation gain.  

A special welcome to two newer members of the AOC.  John was on his 5th AOC event and Zvia was on her 2nd event.  We look forward to seeing you both on some future AOC events.  ~ Holt
