What a wonderful fall day for a hike.  The early morning rain kept a few from joining us but the rain ended before we started hiking and not one drop of rain reached us.  The overcast skies made for some beautiful views of Lake Allatoona which we reached several times during our hike.  The group of 12 hikers kept together and maintained a nearly 3 MPH pace for our 6 mile hike.  After the hike, several of our group grabbed a picnic table near the shore of the lake and enjoyed a quick lunch before departing.  ~ Holt
