Holt earned his pay today! I put him in the lead while I relaxed as sweep for today's hike. West Palisades is one of Holt's favorite local parks, so he was able to share some of the interesting tidbits of information about the area as we hiked. We learned of "Holt's Hypothesis" about future development near the park boundaries, and we caught glimpses of the deck and bamboo forest at East Palisades from our side of the river.  

It was a bright, sunny day - - a welcomed change from our recent dreary days of rain, and the chilly air quickly warmed to a very comfortable temperature.

We welcomed Claudia to her 3rd AOC event, and were happy to see Bob and Silvia again, both on their 5th AOC hikes. ~ Joyce
