What a great day we had.  All of us were pleasantly surprised by the weather – warmer than we expected with very little wind and shining sun keeping us warm.  We hiked 11 miles with an elevation gain of around 3,200 feet.  Lots of big stone steps, and some icy patches on the granite face below Governor’s Rock, but the overlooks were spectacular.  I really enjoyed sharing this hike with a great group of members.  The wait for dinner was really long, getting us back to Atlanta quite late, but the barbeque was good.  I’ve uploaded the pictures folks sent to me and have added a link to the album.  Thanks, Bob, for co-leading, and thanks to all of you for contributing to another great hiking adventure.
