A perfect day for a perfect hike.  Sunny skies, brisk temperatures, little wind.  The only down side was that the trails were extremely slick which required us to slow down just a tad.  Our family was intact so there were smiles all around.  The National Park Rangers have been busy at work as the roads have been cleared of the recent debris and the large tree that had been down along the warm up hill has been moved.  Let's all thank the rangers for what they do that we don't notice until it's not done!  No one person was "first" up the warm up hill;  about three or four individuals all led the way.  We were able to go around the pond today but not quite make the lollipop trail (too wet and muddy!)  We ran into a couple of other AOC hikers today while we were out and about;  that's always fun.  So, welcome back everyone;  today just felt RIGHT!!
