Thanks to all who braved the cold weather to hike at East Palisades this morning.

It was a bright, sunny morning and we warmed up quickly.  It was a pleasure to see the SUN, something we have been missing in the Atlanta area recently.

I met four new hikers this morning - Ira and Matt, brand new, first hike with AOC and first time at this beautiful park.  Michael and Tanya are fairly new to the AOC but it was their first time at East Palisades too.  Thanks to Daveo for agreeing to be my co-lead.  

I love when I can introduce people to these beautiful CRNRA parks.  The water was super high in the river.  Some of the trail down near the bamboo forest was washed out but we muddled (mudded) through.
