It was Bette's special day today . . . her 200th AOC event. We also have been recognizing Bob R., piecemeal albeit, for his 400th event.  Next week, we hope to get a picture of him with the official 400th event poster!

Sadly, Carol had to miss this morning's hike, as did Young Jeff. Both of them really wanted to be part of Bette's celebration. I know they're sorry to have missed it.

Because of big - - really big - - puddles on the river trail which prevented us from hiking through, we had to take a 10 minute detour which put us a bit late getting back to the parking lot. However, we got in very close to 6 miles today!

We celebrated the day with Valentine bandanas, delicious date/chocolate treats from Zvia, and white chocolate bark candy from Regina. Then, we headed to the North River Tavern, where we joined Russ's hikers who had trekked through Vickery Creek this morning. ~ Joyce
