We were lucky with this hike with it raining about an hour beforehand and cooling everything down, but the drawback was that it was a bit humid to say the least.  However, we managed to get in a good workout and did about 5 1/4 miles in 2 1/4 hrs.   We also viewed quite a bit of wildlife (see pics).   And as it became later, we were treated by an impressive display of fireflies all around us.   So those were nice surprises and it was good company and conversation as usual.
