It was a great day for a classic D6 on the classic Coosa Trail at Vogel State Park.  Great weather with 0 rain and temps in the 40's and 50's.  Approximately 16 miles were hiked with 4400+ in elevation gain in about 8 hours.  The crowns were windy, the steams and creeks were gushing with water everywhere and even the trails were a little muddy and saturated however, no one lost a boot.  Thanks to everyone who participated!  Three members there earned their very first D6 rated hike and they're very excited about it.  The hardest part was getting out of the car once arriving back at the park and ride, ouch!
