We started the morning with a little chill and a lot of sunshine. We did quick introductions at the Visitor Center. For those that had never hiked the Iron Hill Trail directions were given on how to drive to the Iron Hill parking lot; we caravanned down to it. We started at the parking lot hiking in a clockwise direction. We came to the first spur, hiked to the end of the peninsula and returned. From there we continued along the trail taking the spur to the campground turning around just before getting to the campground. Once we arrived back at the main trail it was a short hike to the parking lot. We could not have asked for a better morning to go hiking. We hiked pasted miles of spectacular Spring views of Lake Allatoona.
