Summer is definitely in the air and hydration is becoming a neccessity!  We started the hike off going around the pond and of course, the warm up hill.  Today, Susan had the lead from the get go and had no challengers whatsoever!  I think the rest of us were happy to make it up the hill!!  LOL!  While hiking along the lollipop trail, we came across a hiker who informed us that the conditions on the lower part of the trail were, once again, flooded!  Consequently, we went to the trailhead of the loop and made our way back.  For one reason or another, two of our hikers today fell and several others stumbled.  Forturnately, no one was injured.  We ended the hike right on time, totally drenched and ready for some good times at North River Tavern.  See you all next week, same time, same place:) ~ Carol
