Beginners Welcome - - but a good thing we didn't have any on this one!

We had an adventure today! The original plan was to go straight through Johnson Ferry North, over the three pipes to Morgan Falls Dam; but Holt was along on the hike, and he knows trails. The "no poles needed" turned out to be a "don't you wish you had your poles" hike! Creek crossings, muddy terrain, a humongous hill (it xwent up only) and lots of rocks to negotiate. It was so much fun . . . and we were treated to seeing a Jabba-the-Hut Turtle (maybe it was even a tortoise) and a Dead-as-a-Doornail Possum (which was really, really, truly dead).  

I'm glad I had my camera with me today. It was able to record a memorable hike. ~ Joyce
