Finally we had a slight dip in temps for todays hike at East Palisades.  17 hikers joined us for today's hike which criss crossed the park.  We first headed out to the North end of the park before descending down to the river.  We tried to reach the bamboo forest but a downed tree stopped us short.  We headed back and with a strong group of hikers up for it, we decided to attack the Big Awesome Hill.  Everyone made it up fine and we took a well deserved break at the overlook.  Next we headed out to the South end of the park, briefly visiting Dog Beach which today was underwater.  One last climb after passing the cliffs and a short road walk back to the cars and the end of the hike.  We clocked about 4.5 miles and about 700 feet of elevation gain in exactly 2 hours.
