We could not have ordered better weather! 10 early bird hikers kept a brisk pace up to Springer Mountain via the AT approach trail and then back via the Len Foote Hike Inn. The top of Springer was busy and cool enough to warrant a few minutes with an extra layer. Definitely an unexpected treat for June. Cool breezes continued for the rest of the day.

Expected treats at the Inn included pound cake and buttery biscuits which were a welcome carb boost.
