Hot, heat, humidity, muggy.....  Those are the conditions we are presently hiking under.  But our group keeps on trucking!  We finished our hike right at 12:30 and covered around 5 1/2 miles.  Susan and Bob were the first ones up the hill and the rest of us were just happy to make it up the warm-up hill!!  LOL!  It was nice to welcome back Mike Collins - he was one of our original hikers when this event started 5 years ago.  Daniel, Jennifer and Dennis are also relative newbies and they still came out in this heat.  Other than the warm-up hill, we managed to stay on the trails trying to catch a breeze whenever possible.  Few and far apart!  And fortunately, everyone came well prepared and brought fluids.  Thanks to you all - see you next week. ~ Carol
