What a nice respite from the heat and humidity!  Today, we started our hike with temps in the low 70's, low humidity and with the high only getting to 80.  We started our trail on our lovely warm up hill where Dave Vickers initially took off.  Next thing with knew, Milt was running up the hill with Allen joining.  It became a three way race but Dave had had too much of a lead and made it to the top first!  (When did this become a tradition!!!)  We made our way through the trails on the lower part of Island Ford and figured we had plently of time to do the entire loop.  We did have plenty of time, we just did not take into account for Carol missing a turn on the loop and going towards the underpass of 400:)  Needless to say, it just meant we had to stay on the road from the upper parking lot to the lower parking lot to get back in time!  Had some nice cool places along the trail and a lot of comradery.  Once again, thanks for joining us!  ~  Joyce
