Write Up:When we arrived to service road There was a big wide muddy hole at the beginning of it
that our car couldn’t be able to pass it, so I decided to change the plan. It was risky to
go on to other Cahutta Wilderness Service Roads because of the rain at the night
before, so we turned around and went to Byron Reece Trail head.
We started from Byron Reece trail to Blood Mountain then to Lake Winfield Scott and
back about 13 miles. The weather was great and we had a chance of swimming in
the lake and taking hot shower after lunch.
So be aware when you’re heading to Cohutta Wilderness.
