What a gorgeous day it was for a hike . . . and Vineyard Mountain has it all . . . strenuous stretches, rolling hills, water views . . . it''s a great place to get in a D3 hike. We delighted with the cooler temperatures and low humidity. If you haven't hike this trail, it's a definite bucket-list item!

The gate to the dam was momentarily opened as we hiked up to see it . . . so we got a peek inside before it rolled shut! We knew the cameras had us in view, so we were well behaved and stayed outside. But we posed for a couple of photos in front of the gate before going to the trailhead. ~ Joyce
