Today was a special one - - the celebration of John B.'s 100th AOC event! John did his first hike with the AOC in October 2018, and he's steadily gained strength and speed on his hikes, tackling some D4's already.

The 24 Gun Trail is a really good one for these super-hot days, because there is minimal elevation gain, a leaf canopy above most of the trails, and easy footing. We avoid the mountain on this hike.

Summer and Sam were our canine hikers today. They're both well behaved and love being out with the group. In one photo, you can see Bill C. with his little bag of bacon that he saves from his breakfast to give to Summer. She loves him - - and she really loves the bacon! ~ Joyce
