Another great day to be hiking at Gold Branch.  We had 18 hikers for today's hike and a good mix of regulars and club newcomers.  For the hike, we crisscrossed the park, climbing the ridge four times for a total of about 700 feet of elevation gain.  The group was moving together well and we finished our 5 mile hike about 10 minutes early.  

A special welcome to our newcomers on today's hike.  Tanya B was on on her 5th event with the AOC, Keith C was on his 3rd and Kathleen S and Hannah C were on their very first AOC event.  ~  Holt
