Oh, what a beautiful morning! The weather was absolutely perfect for our jaunt through West Palisades this morning. We had a full group of 18, some challenging hills, plenty of loose rocky trails, beautiful woods, and some cool breezes. It was a hike that was good for the soul.

It was good to have Holt back after his latest AT trek. He took good care of the back of the pack for me today. And Greg B. was back after months of rehabilitation for a painful knee! Plus, we had two brand new AOC members with their dogs - - Linda (with Beau, a cute little Sheepadoole) and Sandy ( with a beautiful Vizsla, Leila).

We encountered a high school group coming off the river at the beach area. They were super excited with their rafting adventure and loved petting Beau, who seemed to relish the attention.
