Can you believe it . . . it rained today! On us!! The 15% chance of showers during our hike all poured down on us, drenching us for almost a half hour! Only Suzanne and Claudia had ponchos; the rest of us just got soaked.  

BUT -- it was a terrific hike, both before the rain, during and after. About an hour into the hike, while it was still raining, Holt took us back to the parking lot to allow people to decide whether to go home, wait out the rain, or just continue the hike rain or not. Some of the group left for home while the rest of us hiked for a second hour. That second hour was great, as the rain stopped and the sun actually began to peep through the clouds. By the time we got back to our cars, the sky was clear and blue.

After the hike, we celebrated with popsicles! ~ Joyce
