It was a bit cloudy, however that made it a perfect day for a hike with temperature in the high 40’s at the start of the hike. With everyone arriving early, we proceeded from the Powers Island Parking Lot to the Interstate North Parking Lot at Cochran Shoals. We crossed the bridge over the swamp a zigzagged along the trails ending up at the Columns Drive Parking Lot. Back to the Interstate North Parking Lot and Powers Island Parking Lot a quick trip around the Powers Island Loop Trail ending the hike on time and at just over 6 miles.

A special thanks to the new members Leslie, Freda, Maya, and Nunu for their first hike. Roz and Casey for their second hike and Esther for her eight hike. Thanks to the rest of the group for making them feel part of our club.
