Holt always shakes things up a bit with undiscovered trails and varied routes. So on this special day - - Rocky's 100th AOC event - - we hiked on a trail none of us had previously explored. An adventure! Then, we hit the main trail where we detoured up to the ridge before eventually tackling the long, steep hill we love so well. Finally, we checked out the beach area where the Cobb County Police Special Operations force were doing underwater search and rescue training. Then, it was up to the new trail to make our way back to our cars.  

An added bonus to this special event day was our encounter with a large, healthy rat snake . . . a pretty thing, to be sure.
