Today was Veteran's Day, so in gratitude for all who have served our country, I did a bit of patriotic dress-up. It's always fun to surprise my wonderful hiking peeps!

It was a gorgeous day for hiking along the river at Jones Bridge. The temperature was pleasantly cool . . . perfect for a brisk jaunt. We stayed along the river most of the time except for a mile or so of inland trails. A special treat was spotting not just one but three chameleons on one of the bridge rails! We figured it was lizard rut season!
