Once again, we had beautiful blue skies with a nice cold breeze. The temperatures stayed in the 40's throughout our hike.  We went around the pond: climbing over a rather large fallen tree, viewing the ice layer over the pond and checking out the new decking!  We were still a little chilly so we headed up the warm up hill.  José, Jeff W., and Susan were racing up the hill and at the last minute, Susan took the lead (I think the guys let her take it:)). At that point, layers of clothing were removed and we took off.  Joyce led the way setting a brisk pace, Carol led the group along the stem of the lollipop trail and Joyce took over again to take us down towards the river and back to the parking lot.  Joyce brought holiday bandanas and Kit Kat bars to celebrate the upcoming holidays!  Once again, a great hike with a great group of hikers!  Our last hike of 2019 will be next Thursday - make sure you sign up!! ~ Carol
