Happy Holidays!  Lots and lots of folks on the trails today.  Probably one of the busiest days I've seen at Island Ford;  everyone enjoying these past few gorgeous days.  We had a full turn out as we welcomed Damon (visiting his mom, Joyce) to our hike and saw a lot of faces that we normally don't see.  We did the warm up trail today with Russ runnig out ahead of the pack to claim "first" up the hill.  We hiked fairly quickly as we covered right around 6 miles with quite a bit of elevation (watches varies between 5.8 and 6.5 with over 800 feet of elevation!). The lollipop trail was rather slippy today as two of our hikers fell;  but fortunately, neither were hurt badly.  The trails were still rather wet!  So, great hike, great temperatures, great company and don't forget to sign up for our first Thursday morning Island Ford hike of 2020!  ~ Carol
