A rare afternoon start worked perfectly today with it being so cold in the morning.  It was still chilly but once we hit the first hill, layers started coming off.  We hit most of the trails in the Interstate North section of the park including two healthy climbs before heading over to Cochran Shoals for a couple of miles.  We finished by walking back to the cars on the multi purpose trail by the river and the end of our 5.5 mile, 2 hour hike.  ~ Holt
