Write Up:We enjoyed taking advantage of Sunday afternoon's nice weather and felt fortunate to be able to do this special "combo yuletide event" exactly as planned. Thanks to my good friend Richard for doing such a great job co-leading and making sure we all stayed together. After entering Piedmont Park via the Atlanta Botanical Garden's scenic entrance corridor we explored many of the historic park's creekside and lakeside trails & walkways, including a future section of the Atlanta Beltline. Along the way we had nice views of wild mallard ducks, Canada geese and a great blue heron. After returning to our convenient free parking spot on "The Prado"we walked together a few more blocks to Symphony Hall via beautiful Winn Park.
As a 49-year founding member of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus it did my heart good to have so many nice folks from our amazing Club there with me for this year's big annual "Christmas with the ASO" holiday classic. - Posted by Charlie, Mon Dec 9th
p.s. From my on-stage spot on the risers of our tenor section I felt reasonably secure in case my AOC friends decided to try and pelt me with rotten fruit, since most were seated high in the balcony in my suggested "AOC group section" for the concert! :>)
