We had a full complement of hikers for today's hike at West Palisades.  Everyone was in the mood to try to work off so of the turkey from Thanksgiving.  Leaving from the Akers Mill/ West Palisades trailhead, we first headed out to the far end of the park.  We descended to the river and then made our way to the Bob Callan Trail for a short distance.  Then another big climb to get to the ridgeline and back towards the north end of the park.  Another descent to the river and a turn around at the West Palisades beach.  One last climb and we were back to the parking lot for the end of our hike.  ~ Holt
