Farewell, 2019! We gave you a great sendoff today with our hike at Island Ford, and look forward to new beginnings tomorrow. The weather, though chilly at first, was very much to our liking, encouraging us to keep moving along the scenic trails. Geese were abundant on the river, but no other signs of wildlife were to be had. We did stop for a group photo on the brand new deck at the Hewlett Pond.  It was just finished this week.

Members of Holt's Allenbrook hike joined us at Samad's for lunch, so we had quite a showing at the little restaurant - - 17 of! us!
