A great group for our hike around Sope Creek this morning, including visits to both the pulp mill and the paper mill complexs.  We learned a bit about the history of these operations and how they operated.  We also observed the ruins of several old homesteads that were likely occupied by workers associated with the mill operations.  We criss crossed the Sope Creek park as we got our miles in.  We arrived back at our cars and the end to our 5.2 mile hike. 

We had two brand new AOC members on todays hike, Kevin K and Warren Y.  Both were on their first AOC hike. Welcome to both of you and we look forward to seeing you on future AOC events. ~ Holt
