We had an excellent hike at East Palisades on Friday morning.  In addition to some of the regular routing for the hikes we do in East Palisades, we also explored the little used far western end of the park.  We followed an old woods road where we found various left over pieces of equipment tucked back in the woods before making our way to the former park ranger residence on the ridge above the park.  After a brief road walk we reentered the park and made our way back to the parking lot and our cars.  We clocked in at 4.5 miles and over 700 feet of elevation gain in 2 hours.  ~ Holt
